Yes, the festival is open and welcoming to all kids ages 1-100!
$55 adult, $20 student with ID (at the door only) includes all-day access to all the workshops held in the Ken Miller Auditorium, Ken Miller Recreation Center and Toyota Meeting Hall as well as all performances in the Torino Plaza
Absolutely! The festival is an interactive, hands-on event. If you don’t have an ukulele of your own, there will be plenty of vendors selling ukulele in a variety of styles and prices onsite.
Yes, tickets will be available for purchase in-person on the day of the event only, starting at 8:30am. We suggest purchasing your ticket to the festival online or by phone now, as the event typically sells out: www.kalakoa.tix.com
Yes, your All-Access wristband allows you to move freely throughout the paid and free-to-the- public areas
The Los Angeles International Ukulele Festival offers FREE classes for complete beginners in the George Nakano Theatre throughout the day (main festival access not included).
Sign ups are not necessary. Once you’ve purchased your festival ticket, feel free to peruse the workshops on festival day and make a game-time decision!
All workshops will be in standard tuning for soprano, concert and tenor size ukuleles. Note: Baritone chords will not be covered.

Yes! There will be a variety of food (including vegetarian), drink and shave ice vendors available all day.
There are no lockers available on the festival grounds. Please be sure to secure your personal belongings and do not leave items unattended. Los Angeles International Ukulele Festival, Kala Koa, and Torrance Cultural Arts Center are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
Drawing tickets will be available for purchase in the Ken Miller Recreation Center lobby, $5 each or $20 for five. Drawings are scheduled for 9:15am and 5:00pm. You do not need to be present to win but it would be nice to be able to present it to you on the main stage!
Pets are not allowed except for service animals.
All areas on the grounds of the Torrance Cultural Arts Center are wheelchair accessible. ADA parking is offered on a first come, first served basis. We suggest arriving early to secure an ADA parking space if needed. A state-issued accessible parking license plate, placard, or hangtag is required to park in this area.

TRAVELING ON THE 405
Take the 405 Fwy South and exit at Crenshaw Blvd. From the off ramp, turn right onto Crenshaw Blvd. and travel south to Torrance Blvd. Turn right onto Torrance Blvd. and travel west to Madrona Ave. Turn right onto Madrona Ave. and turn into the first driveway on the right hand side. The Torrance Cultural Arts Center is the large multi-building complex to your left once you have entered the parking lot.

Take the 101 South to the 110 South to the 405 North and exit at Crenshaw Blvd. From the off ramp, turn left onto 182nd St., then make a left onto Crenshaw Blvd. Travel south on Crenshaw to Torrance Blvd. Turn right onto Torrance Blvd. and travel west to Madrona Ave. Turn right onto Madrona Ave. and turn into the first driveway on the right hand side.
